I have been a member at Balmoral Golf Course for almost three decades and have had the pleasure of watching this course grow and change, all for the better. The owners are more than just that - they are very much hands-on, involved in this business and are on the course. To me, this underlines what it means to create a welcoming golf club.
The staff on the course always seem to have time to stop and ask you how the round is going. They work hard in order to give us the best conditions possible. It’s all the little things they all do which make you feel comfortable being out at Balmoral. Every year it seems some new project is started to enhance the Balmoral experience and along with the members, it’s what keeps me coming back.
I have been a member of Balmoral golf course for more than 25 years. I have found the staff very friendly. They make a real effort to ensure you have a great day by placing members with compatible people to make up foursomes. The course is very walkable and the greens keepers make sure it is in great shape. The front nine is wide open while the back nine is more challenging. If you have not played this course in a while you will find many pleasant changes as they have added another set of tee boxes. This is definitely Central Alberta's hidden gem.
Balmoral is more than a golf course, it's a community that I have had the privilege to be a part of for over 17 years. It's where I spend quality time with my Dad during the spring, summer and fall seasons. The early morning tee times, the quick nine holes after work, just walking the course and enjoying family time. Now I have my own kids and it's the same for us. We get to walk the same course and play with my Dad. That’s three generations playing the game of golf at Balmoral. It's not about birdies or pars, it's about the community that Lesley and John and the staff have created when you walk onto the course. That's what keeps us coming back.
We really enjoyed playing this course. People who work there are very friendly and the course was in a really good shape. Greens are in great shape but tough and that's what I like. My playing partner, who plays a lot of golf at various courses, enjoyed this course. I will play this again for sure. 5 out of 5.
A group of 4 of us golfed at Balmoral tonight. The staff were very friendly. The course was in good condition too. Thanks Balmoral! We will definitely be back.
We had our company golf tournament at this course. The course was in good shape and had minimal elevation changes. This makes the course appealing for all different skill levels from beginner to scratch golfers. The practice putting greens were pretty good shape. You were allowed to chip onto them, which is nice, because that is rare for most courses these days. Staff were friendly and they were very accommodating for our company outing.
